Meet the Governors

Ann Richardson

Co-Opted

Rev Ann Richardson has been vicar of Holy Trinity Church in Twydall since 2014, and became a governor at TPS that autumn.  She grew up in a community very like this one, in Thamesmead in South East London, and has a passion for helping the children of Twydall to flourish and achieve all that they can.  As the local vicar she is involved in many aspects of Twydall’s life across different age groups and interests.

Community governor since September 2015. Chair of Business Management Committee. Link Governor for IT, Maths, Science and Health and Safety.

In my working life I worked as an Applications Engineer, Project Manager and Program Manager for Delphi Diesel Systems, formerly Lucas CAV. I retired in 2014 after 38 years with the company. I have lived in Twydall for 31 years. I previously worked for Lucas CAV in Germany and in London.

I have a grown up family of 4, all of whom attended Twydall and Rainham Mark.

I believe that a good education is essential for all children to achieve their full potential.

I am a keen white water kayaker, cycle rider and I enjoy walking. When the weather is bad I keep fit using the gym at Medway Park. I am keen on languages and I speak German, French and Spanish to varied levels, attending classes to try and maintain my proficiency.

I have a long history with Twydall primary school which started with my first child going here.

I have three children aged 17, 13 and 10. All my children have started their journey here in the nursery and carried on through to year 6, with my youngest child currently in Year 5.

I started working here as a midday meals supervisor and after completing my Teaching Assistant qualifications at the school I have worked within the early years here.

I am looking forward to the school making more links with the community and for us to progress back to the school we once were.
